Rajeeva Kumar
Former Head – Department of Environment, ONGC (Delhi)
Mr. Rajeeva Kumar is an accomplished environmental and energy sector professional with over two decades of extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. He served as the Head of the Department of Environment at Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), Delhi from October 2020 to December 2024.
With a robust career spanning 21 years in both offshore and onshore oil and gas exploration and production, Mr. Kumar has been at the forefront of executing environmentally responsible operations in challenging field conditions.
Prior to his tenure in the Environment Department, he played a key role in ONGC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Group, where he successfully led several green and sustainability-focused initiatives across India.
Mr. Kumar has also been instrumental in advocating for impactful policy reforms. His engagement with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) contributed significantly to regulatory advancements in statutory environmental, forest, and wildlife clearances critical to the oil and gas sector.
His leadership reflects a rare blend of technical field expertise, policy advocacy, and sustainability-driven vision, making him a respected name in the domain of environmental governance in the energy sector.
