Mohammad Mustafa
A retired 1995-batch IAS officer who served the Government of Uttar Pradesh with distinction. Over his illustrious career, he held several high-impact roles, including Principal Secretary of the Public Enterprise Department, Director General of the Public Enterprise Bureau, and Additional Chief Secretary in the Infrastructure and Industrial Development Department, where he played a key role in driving industrial growth and investment in the state.
An alumnus of Aligarh Muslim University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Mustafa also served as the Chairman and Managing Director of SIDBI (Small Industries Development Bank of India), contributing significantly to MSME development and financial inclusion at the national level.
He is credited with pioneering hi-tech horticulture in Orissa and introducing high-value crops such as bananas, guava, and vegetables to small and marginal farmers, thereby strengthening the agri-value chain and increasing farmers’ incomes.
