WE ARE CEF GROUP
Nature has blessed humanity with abundant land, water, and biomass, but rapid growth has pushed these resources to their limits. Rising energy demand, intensive agriculture, and unmanaged waste have led to polluted cities, depleted soils, and stressed water bodies.
CEF Group exists to address these challenges by turning waste and under‑used biomass into clean energy, healthy soils, and restored lakes through its three core pillars: biofuels, bio agri inputs, and lake weed processing.
Back in 2014, seeing mounting waste, shrinking soil health, and growing energy needs, the founders of CEF Group decided to build solutions that work on the ground, not just on paper.
After studying these problems in depth, CEF Group began developing projects that convert organic and municipal waste into biogas, create organic manure from by‑products, and revive lakes by processing aquatic weeds.
Today, CEF has evolved into an integrated platform focused on three core businesses – Biofuels, Bio Agri Inputs, and Lake Weed Processing Projects – all aimed at combating climate change and supporting communities.
CEF is now recognised for its sharply focused and practical solutions in three key areas:
- Biofuels – developing and operating compressed biogas and waste‑to‑energy plants that process agricultural, agro‑industrial, and municipal waste into clean fuel.
- Bio Agri Inputs – manufacturing high‑quality organic manure and bio‑inputs that improve soil health and reduce dependence on chemical fertilisers.
- Lake Weed Processing Projects – removing invasive weeds from lakes such as Dal Lake in Srinagar and converting them into organic manure, linking lake restoration with sustainable farming.
These three pillars work together as a circular model: waste and lake biomass become inputs for energy and agriculture, creating both environmental and economic value.
As CEF grows, the focus is on expanding the biofuels portfolio, deepening the reach of bio agri inputs, and replicating the Dal Lake weed processing model across more water bodies in India. By strengthening these three pillars, CEF Group seeks to contribute to India’s climate goals while improving livelihoods for farmers and communities connected to its projects.
